Exciting Hotel Renovation  Transforms a dinosaur.

I love a good Hotel Renovation, after spending years working for a commercial/leisure Design and Construction company in the UK. Last week I was one of the first guests to enjoy the $35 million renovation at Queen Kapiolani Hotel on Waikiki beach, Hawaii. The project took 1 year to complete led by Construction Manager, John Hardy Group and Pacific Construction together with Philpotts Interiors. This Hotel has a soul and lots of character, so it’s fabulous to see it has been retained and beautifully refurbished to enjoy many more glory days.

The hotel partnered with Bishop Museum to have original prints in the property, including portraits of Queen Kapiolani and King Kalakaua. There is also a collection of aloha shirts and surf boards curated by Dale Hope.

Thanks also to the wonderful staff who were outstanding during my stay.
