Today’s KPMG Budget Breakfast was insightful with robust conversation and opinions from a reputable panel, led by Michael Pascoe, including Doug Ferguson, NSW Chairman, KPMG Australia, David Linke, National Managing Partner at KPMG, Graham Bradley AM, Non-Executive Chairman, HSBC, Energy Australia, GrainCorp and Infrastructure NSW, Ming Long, Non-Executive Director AMP and Paul Bloxham, Chief Economist, HSBC Australia.

 

The tax relief will be welcomed by small to medium size business to help encourage business growth. The record infrastructure funding and focus on health, education and support for increased apprenticeships and skills development is a step in the right direction.  Wages and productivity growth projections remain a key concern. Paul Bloxham also highlighted the need for business to be aware of risks off shore over the next 2 years.
